Description: Hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs), quantitative levels are measured to determine if vaccination is needed and determine if protective immunity has been achieved. The result is given a numerical value. Transfused individuals or hemophiliacs receiving plasma may give false positive tests.
Clinical Significance: This assay is used to determine immune status for Hepatitis B as =10 mIU/mL as per CDC Guidelines.
