Interfering factors to the antibody test: glucocorticosteroids (e.g., oral prednisone and/or steroid metered-dose inhaler), chemotherapy, immunosuppressive medications. Non-interfering factors to the antibody test: antibiotics, antihistamines, and antidepressants. Test may be inaccurate if the patient has liver damage or HIV infection.
